Hello:
As you are probably aware, when Daylight Saving Time goes into effect this year, it will last four weeks longer than it has in past years, starting on the second Sunday of March (March 11, 2007) and ending on the first Sunday in November (November 4, 2007) in both the United States and Canada.
Since all our operating systems were designed based on the old Daylight Saving Time rules they will need to be updated in advance, including desktops, laptops, servers, Outlook / Exchange, BlackBerrys, CMS and the phone system. Other systems like fax machines, cost recovery systems, printers, copiers etc., will be updated manually on March 11th. We have received updates for all the major systems and are in the process of testing the changes before they are applied to our production systems.
Please stay tuned for more information on this topic.
If you have a home computer - please click on the following URL where you can find complete details surrounding the issue and the updates required at this Microsoft website http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_dst. Investor Relations Blog » Cookie-cutter IR websites bad, says ex-insider
A FORMER employee of a large IR website vendor has written a damning insider’s account of how such firms bully their clients into buying off-the-shelf packages that fail to deliver value to companies and their investors.
Lily Napier, who spent six years as a senior IR consultant for Hemscott, the UK equivalent of Thomson Financial and Shareholder.com, says in an online article that big IR website providers are motivated to “sell, sell, sell — with the result that identical off-the-shelf websites solutions are churned out at a terrifying rate for all companies, whatever their size or sector.”
Ran across this article and thought it might be of intrest to some of you IRO’s.
